Cancer/Cancer relationships

It has been my experience in meeting Cancer men that there is a strong draw to each other. I usually end up sleeping with them and then I usually realize we are not meant to be lovers. I haven't met any Cancer women with whom I've had this same cycle.

Any comments? Are Cancers meant to be just friends? Maybe it's that *I* am meant to be just friends with Cancer men? What about me and Cancer women? ;)

Any thoughts on Cancer/Aries relationships?

I'm an Aries sun, Sage moon, Pisces rising, VIP

He's a Cancer sun, Virgo moon, Gemini rising, Taurus in Venus

Emotionally he is great for me. It's the everyday mundane things in life where we seem to have troubles.
Like responsiblity, what we eat, insecurity (on his part) and possessiveness on his part.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Oh, and Hi, I kinda just snuck in here and joined real quick.

Scorpio w/ tons of cancer

I'm dating this guy, Scorpio sun, cancer moon, and asc... He's very sensitive, but not very open with his emotions, which is both a cancer and a scorpio trait...

So, the potential problem is this; I'm scared! I broke up with the love of my life (a cancer!) 3 months ago... and I'm not throwing myself into this one as quickly as I have in the past.

On the other hand, I really don't want to screw this up, he's a great guy. The more I get to know him, the more I really like him. I have kids and he has kids which really helps us to connect to each other...

Do you think that if I am open and honest with him, he'll understand me wanting to take things slowly? Or, do you think I should sort of play it cool, and not say much to him at all?

I'm a Virgo sun, Taurus moon, and Gemini asc. You all know me by now! ;-)

Hi, I'm a Scorpio who needs some advice from Cancers. My best relationship to date was with a Cancer and I'm a big believer in our signs' compatibility. So I met this Cancer, thought we might work, until he recently told me I come on too intense! I'm not even sure what I did, except speak my mind honestly. Really bummed. What do I do to unscare him?

At first, I thought it was nice that my boyfriend "read my thoughts". You know, he'd say things like, "You're this way in a situation, and you like this to be comfortable", I thought he "got me". Now, he's telling me how I'm feeling and what I'm thinking. It's fucking pissing me off! I argue with him and say, "No, I feel this way..." and he argues back about the way I feel! We end up fighting about communication rather than what the problem really is!!!!

Frustrating.

Feel sorry for me (smile)

Sun in cancer. Moon in Pisces. Aquarius rising.
Sometimes wish there were more people as empathetic as me.
But I feel sorry for my loved ones who somehow deal with my moodiness.
Too easily swayed by some of the pushier types.
Too passive-agressive.
Some people wonder what's wrong with me because I talk about bizarre (and disgusting) things. I wonder too.
On the other hand, I am content staying behind the scenes and making a difference in the world quietly, starting in my own back yard.
Sometimes I am swept away in general sorrow that I am able to live my life while innocent people (especially children) are NEEDLESSLY SUFFERING. I find it harder each day to be fine with the fact that the masses are struggling to survive, while A FEW HIDEOUSLY RICH people PREFER IT LIKE THAT and goddamn it, WE ARE ALL PUTTING UP WITH IT. What is wrong with us?

Cancer with Pisces?

Just for clarification, in case it matters, we are both female.

ME: Cancer Sun, Pisces Moon, Scorpio Rising

SHE: Pisces Sun, Pisces Moon, Pisces Rising

The mental and sexual connection is INCREDIBLE! The emotional stuff needs time as she is not ready for a committed releationship. Is this most likely a case of bad timing, or incompatibility? We have had some pretty big emotional misunderstands, and I didn't know if it was due to some underlying problem (stability) she may have, or the fact that she was in a BAD 15 year relationship.

And really it was that we didn't understand what the other one MEANT. We are obviously both pretty sensitive. Any thoughts? Or experiences?

UnWanted Guests? Do we mislead?

Has your warm Cancerian aura and compassionate nature ever gotten you in trouble? Or given you more than what you asked for?

This is what I mean.. It's almost like anybody we smile at with warm eyes, particularly the opposite sex, will get the wrong impression, assuming that what they see in my eyes is a desire for them, or that I may have feelings for them. I mean, deep down I know we have love for basically everyone under the sun, but sometimes it's misread as a 'come hither' sign, or a green light, for the opposite sex. And they usually proceed as so. It happens often. But what are we supposed to do? Look mean at everybody so they won't be attracted to us?

Me being a Cancer, I can't resist at least hearing someone out and being compassionate, even when I'm not attracted to them. Tell me I'm not alone. People will claim later on that I lead them on. But what am I supposed to say “I don’t want you, please leave me alone?” Even when I say "let's be friends" they usually stick around just to change my mind, seeing it as a challenge.

What's even worse is that I feel guilty for having let them down. And as I look back on a few "acquaintances" (I won't say relationships, cuz that's not what I wanted). I think I may have let their feelings for me confuse what I was actually feeling for them. I let them turn universal love into romantic love for a little while, out of good ole compassion.

Looking back, there have been quite a few that I have continued to talk to because I didn't want to hurt their feelings, ultimately. Not that it was consciously done at the time, I just had that old instinct not to disappoint them, and thinking “hey, I can at least be nice”= )

Bad Idea when that’s not what they want and you know that’s not what they want. In that way, I’ve got myself into some mishaps, and I definitely have wasted a lot of time for me and them. Tell me I'm not alone.
Knowing this now I kinda handle it differently, but still what a resolution!

How much trouble has all the openness and compassion that we posses gotten you into with the opposite sex? Hopefully we can share past or maybe even current stories.........

I am a virgo, and maybe a little old-fashioned... My cancer boyfriend is also rather shy. Can you guys give me any ideas as to how to initiate sex... I was talking to a capricorn friend of mine, and she said, "Just jump on top of him, and do your thing!"

Okay, I'm sure he'd love that, but I don't want to be the one always initiating, if you know what I mean...? Plus, I like to be adventurous, and also to know that my boyfriend is attracted to me as well.

Cancer Men - Need Your Advice

How should I communicate with him when he retreats? If I call he won't answer the phone. If I send him a text message he won't respond. Should I just leave him alone? Send him messages like "miss you", "thinking of you", "hope your doing okay". Will this just irritate him? Should I send these messages everyday until he comes out of hiding or just send 1 message and leave him alone?

This man has told me he loves me and i'm his future. What can I do to make him feel secure with me? He told me he hasn't opened up to anyone like he's opened up to me but yet he still retreats. I don't think he's ever lied to me but I believe he is very secretive. I don't want to smother him or make him feel overhwhelmed. I sent him a nice long email professing my feelings for him because I thought it was only fair that he knows how i feel since he put his heart out there for me. I just want us to feel secure with each other and I'm not sure how to accomplish that. I'm not one to put my heart out there but for him I will and I told him that.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cancer and the signs of serious relationships...

Ok, here's a good one...just to see what the statistics are...
Give me the signs of the top three people who you had a very meaningful relationship with in the past, or current. I'm talking about partners.
Mine:
Sagittarius
Gemini(I think)
Aquarius(current)

Cheating Cancer...with Libra

Hi, I just married last December to another cancer... yes, our relationship was quite emotional... unfortunately he had communication problems and I was the over emotional one. Although I cannot believe he did this to me... after 5 years together, I only can say I hope the new girl (Libra) doesn't hurt him... she was calculating everything, became my friend and offered me a place to stay when I had a huge fight with him and left the house, she in the meantime was offering her shoulder to cry while meeting my husband at the same time... , she tricked me into telling her ALL about my marriage problems, asked me about how much money he makes and about all the expensive gifts he bought me... yes, he was very generous... used to spoilt me all the time, but I never care about those things... all I wanted was more time with him - that was, I think our latest main problem.

I am quite hurt but still hopeful that there will be a brighter future for me... sometimes I cannot stop thinking, I cannot hate him... I am just angry cos I thought I knew him better...

cancerian humor

from personal experience (me being a cancer) and being around cancerians, i find that there's a specific brand of wacky, silly, warm humor that cancerians often possess... (an example of some cancerian comedians: robin williams, bill cosby, phyllis dyller, gilda radner, mel brooks and the list goes on.

i think it's because we thrive on good vibes, and humor is a straight shot to receiving and giving them. also, our perceptiveness doesn't hurt.

any thoughts?

Rising and Moon signs???

Just curious on this subject. I am an amateur astrologer (with a chart guarunteed to assure that I would be... as my professional astrologer put it "you know everything I know, but I had to go to school and you just KNOW it"), and as many of you probably know, the sun sign, rising sign and moon sign are the three most important (though all are important, of course). In fact, what your rising sign contributes is pretty much equal to what your sun sign contributes. And your moon sign shows how you demonstrate your emotions.

I am a Cancer-Virgo-Virgo (sun-rising-moon)

What about you all?

I have NO air whatsoever in my chart. What's up with that? And yet
I would describe myself as a "hippy at heart".

Sun - Cancer
Moon - Pisces
Rising - Scorpio
Mercury - Cancer
Venus and Mars - Leo

I always wondered if it was rare to be missing air??

Sun - CANCER
Moon - LEO
Rising - AQUARIUS

venus and mars are in GEMINI.

is there anyone else out there with this exact sun, moon and rising sign? i'm still trying to figure out what this all means. it's interesting.

After ending a ten year relationship, I have found myself EXTREMELY attracted to
someone who seems quite different form me. I hope I am not making a mistake
here, and would be curious about this combo:

I AM: Cancer Sun, Pisces Moon, Scorpio rising

SHE IS: Sag Sun, Leo Moon, Leo Rising.

Is this doomed? She is not nearly as sensitive as me, I think

Capricorn-Cancer Questions

Hello, everyone.

I'm not too knowledgable in the studies of astrology, but I was curious about my astrological compatibility with a girl friend of mine. It's difficult for me to understand her feelings for me, even though we spend about 50% of our day talking to or being with eachother. I've expressed to her that I love her, but she refuses to show any signs of attraction. I know I'm madly in love with her, and I know that she likes me....I just don't know how much, and when she will decide to show me she does.

It's confusing, because she hides her feelings and emotions so well, but I'm dying to know! I need some sort of direction!

My Sun sign is Capricorn with a Saggitarius rising, Moon in Cancer, Venus in Pisces
She's a Sun in Cancer, Moon in Gemini, and I believe a Venus in Capricorn

Thanks!

I tried to figure it out, and I can't. I tried every way I could imagine, just couldnt do it.
Where does all that insecurity stem from?

My Cancer was convinced I was unfaithful. I NEVER was. But it's over now. It saddens me, I'm on the pain end because I didnt want it to be over, but no matter what I did, he just didnt believe me.

Departure of Saturn, Thank JULY!

Hi all,
I just wanted to share our horoscope for July with you. I LOVE this woman's work, if you don't know about her site, free, very in-depth, horoscopes, check her out.

http://www.astrologyzone.com/

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Your July Horoscope by Susan Miller

Dear Cancer! What a momentous, joyous month! You waited so long for July 2005 and now it's here! For two years, you've been beset with many new situations that you had to adjust to, and at the same time, had to endure quite a bit tension. You probably found it hard to relax. Saturn, the taskmaster planet that brought you this no-frills environment since June 2003, will leave this placement this month on July 16. Saturn will not return until 2032! This is truly cause for celebration!

In the weeks and months to come, your cloudy skies will clear and the sun will come out again. Your old self will gradually reemerge and your confidence will return. This period was not without benefits - you have matured enormously over the past two years, and you are now ready to handle anything life throws your way.

Saturn, the planet that prodded and pressed, tested and challenged you, also took away your illusions. Everyone has some, but now you look at life far more realistically. Saturn also strengthened your ability to work "as is," not as you wished it to be. The recent years had to have been very hard for you, for you are a highly sensitive sign.

Your tender sensitivity is usually an asset for you, as it allows you to empathize with others and to put your artistic, intuitive abilities to good use. However, Saturn can sometimes bring so much reality that you can feel like you are almost being crushed by all that "truth." At times since June 2003 you must have felt like someone switched on the fluorescent lights and all the magic and moonlight that you love so much in life suddenly disappeared. Admittedly, life has been quite no-frills, dear Cancer, but that chapter is about to end.

The universe didn't create this situation for no reason. Saturn's job is to help you become more practical. In the process you were urged to reassess your talents and reformulate goals. Its effect was to launch you into a new arena.

If you look back to where you were prior to June 2003, you will see how different life was for you back then. You haven't noticed how far you've come because you are too busy "doing," but now you can look back and survey the landscape. You've proven yourself much stronger than you ever thought you were. Saturn periods are always marked by enormous work and little fun, but also great accomplishments. Be proud of what you build and all that you've learned! You are a much wiser, more mature person as a result.

Saturn won't be back to Cancer until 2032, so like a good personal trainer, Saturn had to be sure that the lessons he brought would stay with you for three decades hence, if not forever. You are now tougher and can probably handle anything life has in store for you.

You may notice things change immediately, or it may take several weeks or months. (It will take a couple of months if you were born late in the sign, near July 15-23). The point is that every Cancer, of every birthday, will feel relief. There will be only a few days this month that will make you doubt that the hardships are over, and that is July 21-23, your toughest time of the month. Look at it as the last knockout punch. You will say goodbye to all this tension very soon!

Just so you notice that life is about to brighten, you will be given your annual new moon in Cancer, a cosmic birthday present, on July 6. Unlike years past, this time you have several solidly good aspects, including a big helping hand from Uranus, planet of unexpected events. You may take a divine trip to a fabulous coastline city, overseas or at an exotic island. Or, you may decide to go back to school or to begin a publishing / broadcasting project. The point is that your world is about to open up exponentially, so rapidly it might take your breath away.

Remember that new moons are opportunities - you have to do the work to see the goodness! Nothing will happen by itself! Plant a seed at this time and you will see it grow like Jack and the Beanstalk's seeds. Mark my words! All new moons have two weeks of potential, but your best are clustered in the days just following the new moon, July 6-13.

If you were born on or near July 6, you stand to benefit the most from this new moon, and from the one out-of-the-blue event that is likely to surface. Pay close attention to the phone calls, emails, and other messages you get in the days that follow that new moon.

Now Saturn will move into your second house financial sector. Before you start to groan, know that nothing - absolutely nothing - will be as hard as what you faced in the past two years. When a planet is based on your first house (as you have had) the planet's influence is felt in a much stronger way, because the first house is one of the four key angles of a chart. Planets moving through the first house of identity (as well as the fourth house of home, the seventh house of partnerships and the tenth house of career success) act in a more assertive way than they do in most houses. Hence, Saturn felt "stronger" than it will in your second house.

In the period starting July 16 and ending September 2, 2007, Saturn will begin to teach you how to spend, save, and budget more effectively. You will learn ways to cut down on waste and get much more from the money you have now. You may make a significant investment, such as in a house or your education, or you may simply figure out a way to open a retirement account and add to it frequently.

Admittedly, there could be a downside. You may find it hard to get a raise in the months ahead, or if you do, you may have to work so hard that you may wonder if the trade for a new job was a good idea. Saturn doesn't want you to take anything for granted, which is why he will tighten up your resources. Oddly enough, often when we are given less, we appreciate (and use) our resources in a wiser way. If you are unhappy with your present salary, start looking for a new job immediately, before Mercury, the planet of agreements, goes retrograde.

Jackie Kennedy Onassis was born with this placement of Saturn in the second house of income. It has been said that people who have this at birth (or who have it transiting, as you will in the next two years) are always afraid of running out of money. That is why they often become so savvy about making and saving money!

If you recall, Jackie O had Maurice Templeton help her manage her estate so that she could multiply her money through investments - and Maurice did do that for her. Saturn in this second house would give you an increased desire for security, and as we learn in astrology, everything starts with the desire to achieve a goal. When you add good old elbow grease and sharp practical judgment (two qualities Saturn will tutor you on), victory often results.

If you are old enough, think back to the last time you had Saturn in your solar second house of money, from September 1975 to July 1978. It is possible that you may get some idea of the themes you may face. Of course, other planets will have changed position, so you will never get an exact duplicate of a situation, but you might get some ideas of what is to come.

Career-wise, Mars will still be circulating in your tenth house in July, giving you a big edge in professional matters. If you want to change jobs, this would be the time to search for options. Remember, though, that Mercury will retrograde on July 22, not a good time to ACCEPT a job, but a fine time to discuss deal points. You might go back to a colleague you used to work with, in a new position. People from the past will help you this month.

With Mars zooming through your tenth house of career success, you'll have no problem talking your way into a job with lots of pizzazz. Don't wait until August to start looking or you'll find that luck has come and gone - make good use of these vibrant rays! Luckily, thanks to Mars' cooperation with Pluto in your everyday work assignment sector, and Venus and Mercury in your financial sector, you have heaps of planetary support to slay your dragon and bring it home.

Your best period will extend through July 27, but as said, Mercury will retrograde starting July 22 until August 15. Within that period, July 15 could bring an unusually productive, upbeat day. If you have been trying but still can't find a job, July 15 could bring a breakthrough.

You would have an easier time getting in the door with Mars' support, and with Neptune in such solid angle to Mars, there's a chance you could agree on a job that offers generous benefits. If you are in sales, the agreement may allow you to make a decent commission.

The new moon, however, sends a difficult vibe to Mars on July 6, so you may find obstacles pop up as you begin your job search. Those obstacles won't be insurmountable, but they could be annoying. As long as you expect a few difficulties as you go along, you will be prepared to refute them.

Your chart also shows that you may have exceptional talent for starting your own profitable business. Mars will be in Aries, the sign that rules self-starters. It is apparent that you've got entrepreneurial ideas - don't let your friends talk you out of them! The world was built on ideas like the ones you may have in your pocket.

Now let's turn to your relationships.

Whether romantic or business in nature, relationships can sometimes be hard, but in recent years they probably seemed more difficult to navigate than usual. If your partner was more part of the problem than the solution, you were not going to put up with that for long!

This situation was a byproduct of Saturn, and this month you will see a final chapter in this saga. Last month, Cancers who were born in June dealt with a certain relationship at the full moon June 21.

This month, we have a second full moon that will fall in the very same part of the chart, the seventh house of partners and committed relationships. It will occur on July 21. This time, readers who were born near that date will feel the full moon pressures the most.

What concerns me is that Saturn will orbit very close to the Sun on that day, a depressing type of vibration. You will need to protect your health, as this vibe, operative plus or minus four days from this date, is a draining one. If your parents are alive, check in with them as well. Mom or Dad may not be feeling their best at this time of the month - in fact they might reach a low point, but one or the other may be hesitant to ask for help.

If you are in a romantic or business relationship, you may get an earful from your partner now, and as a result of this airing of a problem, something will be finalized and decided. As mentioned, there was a full moon in this same relationship-oriented sector last month, so you may have begun a dialog in June.

This month's full moon is also in Capricorn, but at 29 degrees, the degree of finality. After this, you won't have the discussion anymore. You will have all the information you need to move forward.

For some, this full moon will mark the end of a long relationship, while for others, it will be apparent that there will be work to do to save and improve the alliance. Saturn conjunct the Sun, an aspect you will have near July 21-23, usually makes us very sensitive to criticism.

Still, I have seen charts of people who commit when Saturn is conjunct the Sun, so it is also possible, for a smaller percentage of Cancers, that you might get engaged or married. If you do this near July 21-23, you will likely stay in the relationship a very long time.

Romantically, if you are single, you have a very upbeat outlook.

Attached? You can plan on having a bewitching evening on July 15, thanks to the interplay of Mars with Pluto, now touring your house of commitment. As said, a few days later, the full moon on July 21 will bring a decision about your closest relationship.

Best date nights: July 6, July 15-17, and July 30.

Summary:
For two long years, your sign has been pressured, pulled, poked, and tested by Saturn. This planet comes 'round every 29 years to teach you life lessons, but it's never easy. Like a rookie Army recruit, you probably resisted the regimen at first until you saw that working with Saturn (and not against him) would help you succeed. You were asked to make sacrifices and certain decisions that at times were difficult, but under it all resourcefulness and ingenuity grew. You came away stronger, wiser, and infinitely more practical. Saturn will exit Cancer on July 16, not to return until 2032. You'll find life will now improve almost immediately. As a cosmic gift, you have a new moon in Cancer July 6, a time of enormously important fresh starts.

Even though you are known to be the zodiac's homebody, you seem hungry for stimulation. Consider taking an exciting trip that will send you far from home - July 1 or 2 would be ideal days to take off. If you can't travel, you may opt to take a summer class or seminar that opens your mind to a part of life that's completely new to you.

In your career, news could not be better - you are apparently on a fast track to the top. Oddly, however, you are finding that getting a corresponding rise in income surprisingly hard to do. This is a long trend; so if you are not happy with your salary now, start to look for a new job now, before Mercury begins to retrograde on July 22 (until August 15).

On Saturday, July 23 you may find that your confidence will flag. Don't take what you hear too much to heart - you may be simply tired, making it easy to feel overwhelmed.

In love, you will soon make a major decision about a spouse, long-term partner, or steady date. Watch what occurs on the full moon July 21 or on the ensuing weekend. After this weekend, there'll be no turning back - whatever choice you make, even a happy one, will bring you down a completely new path for years to come.

So, right now I have the good fortune of finding myself in a small town called San Pedro de Atacama, in the Atacama desert in the north of Chile. The world's largest telescope is here due to the fact that we have literally the cleanest sky in the world here (top 3 anyways)! Last night I was hanging with waxing moon in front and Sirius behind me, and man, let me tell you, there's some serious (Sirius?) vibes coming off of those suckers. All good of course, just intense in that absurd Cancerian way. Anyone else feeling the moon right about now?

Getting over relationships

I find it very difficult to end friendships. I dwell a lot. It takes years to really get over it and a lot of times its just supressing the emotion.
I know this is a cancer trait.

How do you all cope with it.

I'm a cancer sun cancer rising aquarius moon.

I'm devistated when friendships end. Its usually a year before i stop obsessing and a few more yet before i get to a point where i'm not hurting. I use to make small efforts to keep somesort of communication going. Forwards to their emails, you know something, so i wouldn't feel they are completely cut from my life. I've been my best with this current friendship that ended. I've showed a lot of restrain from years learned. I don't email. I don't respond to be provoked, if i needed to email something professionally first and got emailed some lame ass comment back.

But i don't feel any better.

now i don't even know what i miss about them, its been months since i saw my friend. meh

what do you do?

How many cancers do personally know?

Splurging off another topic...I'm curious to know, how many Cancers you know?
I mean, how many cancers do you know that are friends, family, acquaintances...anyone you feel you have somewhat of a relationship with.

I think I only know about 4. One of them is my best friend and the others are acquaintances. My other really good friend is on the Cancer/Leo cusp. She has alot of both traits. The majority of my other friends are all over the astrological spectrum.

Is there anything about Cancers and Leo relationships being doomed from the start. I've (July 9th) had a weird relationship with a leo guy (born Aug 6th), for about 8 years now. We started off as best friends (I was the new girl at school), then things got crazy, he acted like a jerk to me. Over the last few years we've done the whole 'I love you' thing back and forth. It got to the point where even his mom was telling me how much he talked about m at home, etc. We both have acknowleged that we like each other, and feel something special, but it's always been at the wrong time, or the wrong place. He admitted to dating another girl to spite me and make me jealous. We have a very love-hate relationship, but neither one of us can get over each other. Now we're in different colleges, so I thought we would both move on, but apparently not. No one else compares, but something just isn't working...so I thought maybe it had partially to do with our signs. We've both seen other people, but no one else makes me feel the same way. One look from him and I get chills! Any help? I need it if I'm ever going to move on.

P.S. So sorry if this has already been done!! I looked in past posts but didn't see anything.

okay, having just read the posts in the cancer/aquarius discussion lamenting the hardships of being our sensitve sign, I'm thinking its time for a little Cancerian Pride! Lets remember the positive sides of being sesitive, nostalgic, nurturing, intuitive. I wouldn't give this soft, deep interior up, even if interpersonal relationships became easier. We are beautiful creatures - and don't you forget it! Rock on Cancer brothers ans sisters!

Cancer Affirmation

A little something for all the Cancers and those learning Cancer lessons out there: From "Changing Your Destiny: Dynamic New Astrological and Visualization Tools to Shape Your Future" by Mary Orser, Richard A. Zarro.

I was born under the sign of Cancer,
I accept all its power, potentials, and gifts
for I am the star in a sea of stars,
I am water and the moon,
I provide the haven, the safe haven, in the universe.
My deep and powerful emotions
enable me to be the Universal Nourisher
so all that's new may grow
safe and loved, secure, well-understood and cherished.
I am the Incubator, the womb of the new.
I keep the great dream alive
through sympathy and patience.
I am patient, the Master of the Tides of emotions, and moods.
Through my amazing ability to focus power and attention,
I easily navigate the ebb and flow of emotional atmospheres.
i induce and bring new life up from the deepest caverns of conciousness
into the bright light and power of the Sun.
I give birth to new life on the upper spirals of existence.
I ascend and the Sun shines on me,
because I, above all, below all,
nourish the present moment and protect it,
harbor it so it may be cherished later.
I am emotionally brave, magnetic, strong, and persistent.
I care and I share and so people trust and depend on me.
I make them feel safe and secure, needed and protected.
I hold the family of man together.
I am that unity.
I understand all human conditions.
I rule with a loving, loyal sympathy
the public mass conciousness on the planet.
My love is so exquisite for all men and women that i overcome
and meed all challenges.
I am brave, and i feel
I have more energy than i need
and can change rhythm at will.
Though I respect tradition,
my quiet power can transform all that is old into the new.
I am prosperous, self-reliant, shrewd, thrifty, and methodical.
I nourish and cherish my destiny.
I can change my destiny.
Now! Now!
Now I choose to shape my future
in a balanced dance
between comfort and challenge.

Since he became president, I have been totally disturbed by sharing the same birthday (July 6) with Dubya.

What signs of a cancerian do you think GW exhibits?
Do you think he gives us a bad name?

I found this link to his birthday/time so you can look at his chart :

Here is an attentive lover who leaves no stone unturned, caretaking the details of a love relationship. Deeply sensitive like you, he'll remember your conversation two weeks ago - what happened, what was said and what was resolved - verbatim. This lightens your load, for you are overly responsible for those you love. His heart may seem cool, as he is deeply afraid of emotions you gracefully manage. Yet you keep a distance of your own.

Thats a short blurb I just read some where... this is speaking to Cancer about Virgo

Re: What the Signs Really Mean : ( Near Death Experiences and Astrology : (

ARIES: "Who's in charge here? I'd like to see God right now, please. Am I dead? Gee, I never thought that could happen to me! Where can I get a crystal palace backlit with white light like that one?"

TAURUS: Leaving the body, Taurus realizes that he or she no longer has a stomach and immediately returns to the body (thud!), without seeing tunnels, light, God, etc., making Taurus skeptical for the rest of his or her life.

GEMINI: The key thing to the zodiacal twins isn't the experience itself, but how they can embellish it when telling the story (or writing about it). Since Geminis are comfortable in all worlds, except those without telephones, they usually bounce back to the body fairly rapidly-- and the mouth tends to work before the rest of the body comes back to life.

CANCER: Cancerians can live to be 125 years old, and they don't usually have near death experiences, but they can come awfully close to having a near life experience when they get brave and venture out of their house for "supplies."

LEO: "Nooooooo, I am NOT dead. I am not, I am not, I am not . . . Who are those guys in the white robes? What's that they're singing . . . ? They're off key. I can sing better than that! Where's the choir director? I need a microphone immediately. Unless it's Rolling Stone or Spin, hold my calls."

VIRGO: Working a marathon 60 hours straight, Virgo collapses and leaves the body. She moves through that delightfully clean and sparkling tunnel of light, occasionally reflecting upon possible improvements . . . but soon becomes so worried by the thought of her loved ones "managing" without her that she snaps back into the body like white lightning, sits up, and calmly pronounces herself alive, glancing at her watch.

LIBRA: Floating out of the body, then in, then out, then in, and finally out again . . . Libra sees a tunnel and a vibrant being of light at the other end. "Wow, is that Jesus? Wait a minute, maybe it's Kwan Yin. That looks like something she'd wear." Never deciding whether to go through the tunnel (after all, what's death without someone to share it with?) Libra ends up back in the body by default, hounded by a mysterious compulsion to start a dating service for discarnate souls.

SCORPIO: Since most Scorpio's have nine lives, they tend to brainstorm different ways to trigger the near death experience. Once nearly dead, most can barely get to the end of the tunnel without meeting some being with whom they have astral sex. When asked whom they prefer to greet them on the other side, 75% name a favorite vampire, and Medusa is a strong contender.

SAGITTARIUS: Sag floats out of her body and has to laugh at the stupid way she bought the farm. After somehow BREAKING the tunnel of light, she absolutely refuses to return to the body, since she's been trying to get out of it for all these years (via clumsy accidents). Because Sag is immensely curious about whether the so-called organized religious have any validity at all, this stroke of luck leads to some amaaaaaazing lessons, until, alas, the astral folks tire of her and trick her into returning to Earth for the duration.

CAPRICORN: It might take Capricorn a little while to realize he's dead because there are special rooms set up to look like executive offices for newly-dead Goats. A sharp-looking, older gentleman-ghost comes in and gives Cap an instruction manual titled HOW TO PROFIT IN THE ASTRAL MARKETPLACE, plus a "job evaluation" type assessment of Cap's achievements and mistakes over the lifetime, followed by a pink slip (meaning the body revived). Caps tend to return to their bodies quickly, unable to tolerate non-physical existence for long.

AQUARIUS: Aquarius gets to the pearly gates, sees that heaven isn't run by consensus, and opts for hell, where at least there is an appealing anarchy and rules are made to be broken. Ironically, Aquarian near-death experiences tend to be extremely traditional, i.e., God the Father, St. Peter, the celestial choir and so on (another reason to rebel and opt for hell). Once in the underworld, they bedevil the hell out of Satan and his cronies with their loud and vigorous campaigns for progressive reforms, and are quickly expelled back to the body.

PISCES: For some reason, our Piscean friends barely notice their near death experiences. Instead, during a typical day at the office, many Pisceans report seeing beings with long-suffering expressions on their faces and who patiently tell the Piscean to go back to his or her body.

Service Manual Addendum for the Canercian INFP

Service Manual Addendum for the Canercian INFP

In view of the number of returns we've gotten on Cancerian INFPs where owners claimed manufacturing defects, it seems prudent to issue an Addendum to the usual Service Manual for humanoids of this type.

First things first. Cancerian INFPs exist in their own reality. In many ways, they are much like cats, but cats actually *realize* that the rest of the world doesn't necessarily exist in their reality. Cancerian INFPs often fail to realize this, and are quite baffled upon discovering that others aren't privy to their insights. Cancerians INFPs often fail to see the humor in Calvin & Hobbes, because this reality seems perfectly normal to them.

Cancerian INFPs have a limited supply of emotional energy, and peridically need recharging. Think of them as big cell phones with poor batteries. Without proper and regular recharching, their effectiveness as communication devices falls and "dropped call ratios" increase.

The emotional batteries of a Cancerian INFP tend to discharge far more quickly in large group situations, and in fact a full charge can be disipated well before the end of a simple Company Christmas Party. If you have misplaced your Cancerian INFP durring this, or a similar event, you may well find it (if it is a male model) out in the garage with a similar group of drained individuals up to the sleeves of his tuxedo in grease helping the small group restore a Porsche 914. If no 914 is available, you might find him along side similar female models far away from the hubub, or gathered in the kitchen inspecting dishes not yet placed on the communal feeding table.

There are several risks inherant in allowing the batteries to drain in your Cancerian INFP. The first is exaggerated moodiness. If this trait is exhibited, it is a good indication that batteries need charging. However, even on well charged batteries, this particular model still can exhibit the trait of moodiness. The best way to swing this model in an upward directron is to point out the reality that either it is looking at a single piece of the whole puzzle, and the rest of the puzzle is just fine, or to point out that a replacement piece for the broken one is on order and will arrive in due course.

On the offchance that your Cancerian INFP exhibits the crablike tendency to burrow into a hole in the sand, DO NOT attempt to dig it out with sticks, small shovels, heavy equipment, or high explosives. This simply triggers an instinctual deepening of the hole. The best way to get a burrowing Cancerian INFP from its hole is through enticement. Note: If the Cancerian INFP feels that negative consequences may result from the offers of enticements, it may well refuse to emerge.

Consistent maintenance of this model requires an acknowlegement if its inner existance. Even without the full comprehension of others, acknowledgement helps maintain proper battery condition.

Failure to follow this addendum may cause you Cancerian INFP to perform and behave erratically. With a proper understanding of the engineering behind your Cancerian INFP, and with proper service and maintenance, you should expect to get many years of uninterupted service from its plethora of unusual and suprising features.

So, from what I've read cancers and virgos are supposed to have this incredible connection and these great long-lasting relationships.
Well, it's been about a month. Flaky, wishy-washy, non-committal and totally emotionally unavailable. Hot one day, cold the next. I feel
like a friggin' yo-yo.
Was it all bullshit or am I just dealing with the limitations of one particular individual? Any Virgo experiences to relate out there?

Hi all. You probably don't make a point of posting various astrologer's 'scopes, but this one is so great I had to share it. It's by Rob Brezny, whom I love, and is often accusrate. Eerily so.

Here's his Website. http://www.sfweekly.com/astrology/ BTW, he's a Cancer too.
_______________________________________________________________

There's no delicate way to say this, so please stop reading and come back next week if you're offended by graphic references to pleasure. According to my analysis of the long-term astrological omens, you're on tap to experience more orgasms in 2006 than you have in any previous year. On average, your climaxes are also likely to be longer and more intense. Other varieties of bliss, rapture, and joy will probably occur at record levels, as well. Think you can handle it?

______________________________________________________________

Oh, I, for one, HOPE it's so!!!

Cancerian reactions to adversity?

Hey, this question *just* occurred to me. How do y'all react to adversity? How about situations where you might be constantly faced with it, and have no real way to escape, where life is adverse all the time?

Do you basically withdraw? Lash out at the causes of the adversity? Does it make you stronger? Maybe make you feel weaker? (errr, I pick those because those are some of the myriad of reactions that I have).

Astrological Favorites

There might be a level of projection and if so then I stand corrected, however, from what I have noted as Cancer and all the literature that I have read so far on this most enigmatic of signs, it appears that there is a kind of Solar Favoritism with other Planets and that most often the Crabby Crabs get the short end of the stick.

An example are Leos, or pretty much Fire signs in general, are usually seen as Brave, pioneering, intuitive and Energetic while their negative qualities of being brusque, unfailingly Honest, and possibly Short-tempered are seen as personality quirks that can be endured and tolerated much more so then the Negative Cancerian tendency to Whine, be passive-aggressive, be sufficed with dark moods, and seen as generally weak, and not able o cope. This is quite different to Scorpio who seems to be a positive energy and even Pisces who is seen as the Mystical, Artistic Dreamer.

The same can be said of Air signs, in which their negative characteristics are seen as more as personality ticks of being scattered, capricious, unemotional, and uninvolved as opposed to incomprehensible barriers that are often levied at Cancers. I saw this quite clearly in such books like Linda Goodman’s book Love Signs in which it was obvious that she had a clear preference for Aires and Scorpios and Leos and that the Cancer chapter was merely a painful toleration.

Do you think while living in a solar world, Cancer is seen as some kind of morose wimp, that there are clear preferences for other signs and that there is a thinly veiled contempt for our emotional orientation? Sort of like saying Well even though I am a Virgo who is clinical and a not it all, at least I am not a Cancer…

The main photo for this tribe warms my Cancerian heart.
I heard the DL speak in GG Park years ago.
I wasn't close to the stage, but I could feel his energy all the same.
AMAAAAAZZZING!!!!
Warm, light, all encompassing, full of unconditional love and acceptence.
One dayI shall go to India and sit with him.
*happy sigh*

Anyhow, my fellow Crabs~
I am off on a new adventure.
I'm moving to the Detroit area of Michigan... the "whys" of it are varied.

So any well wishing, or words of advice are wanted and appriciated.

I'll still keep my Cali Tribeship... so will be peeking in now and again.

Ciao Bebes

you know I have lived in Dallas off and on for most of my life. In that time I have met a lot of people. After a while I started noticing that about 40-50% of my friends were cancers. We seem to flock together. I know a lot of them here.

Need some advice please....

I'm not terribly up on the intricacies of Astrology, but am attempting to learn more, and have run into a bit of a snag. So I ask the more knowledgeable on this tribe...

How important, when doing a chart, do you think it is, to have the birth time TO THE MINUTE? I have been getting conflicting comments. I've only talked to a few, but some people say it's absolutely necessary, some say the hour is enough and some of the later say that, because being born usually takes HOURS to give birth. And if you're born by C-section it's not accurate either.

Any advice?

Hi all... I'm a total beginner as far as astrology goes, but I recently got my natal chart and a rough interpretation, and skeptical me was STUNNED by how accurate it described my personality! I'm:

Cancer Sun
Pisces Moon
Aries Rising
Cancer Mercury
Leo Venus
Aries Mars
Aquarius Jupiter
Gemini Saturn
Libra Uranus
Sagittarius Neptune
Libra Pluto
Chiron Aries
MC Capricon
IC Cancer
North Node Capricorn

The only things that don't seem to fit as well are some of the Aries things (esp. Mars Aries) and I don't have many of the Leo Venus traits... The way I manifest to the world is TOTALLY Cancer/Pisces water stuff. But overwhelmingly, I really saw myself emerge. Freaky!

I need a little help with this friend of mine. He's a Cancer sun, Sag Moon, and I dont know his asc. I don't have his birth time. He was born July 17th, 1978 in Mexico City, Mexico.

He's an amazing man and is going through some tough times at work right now. We also have this amazing connection... Anyway, I know this won't show houses, etc but basically, what's going on with him?

Thanks!

After Saturn left I thought things would lighten up a bit but, in fact, they've gotten heavier. I'm a Cancer, Cancer rising, Moon in Taurus (10th house). Work is not as solid as it's been the last couple years; several potential new projects (I'm a writer) have not come through; everything seems to take about twice as long to do as it did before. I'd think it was Mercury retrograde, but didn't we just go through that? A card reader (also a Cancer) said according to the cards everything is about as positive as it can possible be (huh!), but meanwhile Saturn -- or something -- seems heavier than ever and my energy is blah, Big Time...Any ideas?

I just noticed an odd pattern in my chart, I haven't spent much time looking at it in the past, and am really looking for the first time....I noticed an awful lot of water, with an awful lot of Cancer...is this unusual? It fits like a glove with my MBTI and Enneagram, though...

I had a question posed by a friend:

if cancers are by nature sensitive, would we thus be more inclined towards healing?

I personally am not much of a healer, but the idea makes sense.

Okay, I've read and read about Saturn being in Cancer since, I dunno, a year or more ago. (Real astrologists are free to correct me.)

I hear it's soon leaving our sign, but when? I've had so many difficulties in the past 18 months I feel like Sisyphus rolling a rock uphill.

It's enough to make this usually chipper Cancerian crawl into my shell and eat cookies til the bad juju is gone.

My fiance and I are taking the day off from work (just got engaged on June 12th, still feels weird saying "fiance") and we are going to do whatever I want all day! :-) I am not all about the presents either! I like to DO things. Maybe go mountain biking, go to the driving range, take our pooch for a hike... just do lots of fun shizat for the day. Oh, and since I am more about the doing than the getting, I manage to stretch it out a few days! Slick!

What does everyone else like to do on their birthday?

Moon in Aquarius

For a long time I thought my moon was in Pisces and there was always something about myself that I felt I needed to find. After having three different charts read I found out what my actual moon sign is. Upon finding out my moon is in Aquarius, the answers I've been looking for have finally come to light.
I was wondering if fellow Cancerians who have Aquarian moon signs could give me some feedback on how this combination works for them.
LOL
P.S.
FYI: my ascendant is in Aries

Hello

Lately I have been thinking about the people that have meant a lot to me in my life and coincidently they all have been Cancer's. Here is the kicker... I am a true Scorpio, I have 4 houses in Scorpio with pieces rising, but my Mars is in Cancer.

My Favorite Aunt (God mother) is a Cancer married to a Scorpion too.
My two best friends are Cancer

These three people aren't just people I get along with, but have been influential and has actually helped me in one way or another over the years.

Anyone else with simular experiences ?

Hi, I'm a Cancer Moon, leo rising, and im a fire/snake. I'm a handful, I tell you. I was wondering, is it so hard to find my perfect mate?? it says that Taurus, Pisces, and Scorpio are cozy fits, but for some reason all i end uo attracting is Geminis and Aries. My last was an Aries, and her stubborn, brazen, unemotional, party girl immaturity really rubbed me the wrong way, but theres a degree of truth in that every girl i met falls under this description. God, for the life of me, why cant I attract someone more compatible. i wonder if my dual Fire signs in my rising and Sun (Sag) pull me farther to the "opposities attract" file. Any suggestions? how do i meet effectively a scorpio/taurus/pisces women??

hi fellow crabs. i am wondering if any of you have regular problems with assertiveness? I feel like my lack of assertiveness may be inherent to my astrological sign - but who knows? All I know is that I am so sensitive to other peoples feelings that I don't want to assert my needs, be it when asking my roomate to take out the trash or approaching a cute boy at a party or refusing to work overtime. Any thoughts on this?

What turns you on... and off?
What qualities in people do you most respect... and which do you loathe?
What impresses you?
Is there something about you that you wish people understood?
What do you deeply want out of life?
And most importantly, what do you want in your mate?

I have some very important decisions to make for some people and I've never been very adept at understanding Cancers in general. I need to understand the place Cancer guys are coming from.

So PLEASE inform me. Spouses of Cancers, you too... fill me in s'il vous plait! I want to hear it all...

I AM WORKING ON A LIST FOR REALLY GOOD EXCUSES FOR BEING LATE FOR THINGS, WORK/WHATEVER. YOU KNOW WHEN YOURE LATE, AND YOU CANT BE, AND YOU JUST NEED A REALLY GOOD EXCUSE TO SAVE YOU FROM ALOT OF TROUBLE? I WANT TO MAKE A LIST OF EXCUSES WITH YOUR HELP TO SOLVE THAT PROBLEM. PLEASE DONT JOKE AROUND WITH EXCUSES AND HELP ALL OF US

ILL START WITH AN EXCUSES/TACTIC, (ITS A BIT DRAMATIC BUT I LIKE TO DRIVE THINGS ON HOME AND GET THE JOB DONE)
--- RUB YOUR HANDS ALL OVER THE WHEEL OF A CAR AND GET DIRT/GREASE/BRAKE DUST ALL OVER YOUR HANDS, THEN GO TO YOUR DISTATION AND WHEN THE ASSHOLES BOTHER YOU ABOUT BEING LATE, TELL THEM YOU HAD TO CHANGE YOUR TIRE, THEY WILL GIVE YOU A DIRTY SUSPICIOUS LOOK, THEN SHOW THEM YOUR HANDS, IT SHUTS THEM UP COMPLETELY.
